How Auro works
Auro runs an overnight analysis on booking pace, competitor pricing, local events and market demand, then surfaces the dates and rooms that need a pricing decision. Each recommendation comes with a plain-language explanation of the signals behind it, so the hotelier can accept, adjust or override the suggestion.

The six-step Auro workflow
1. Auro reads relevant hotel and market signals
Overnight, Auro pulls current on-the-books, booking pace, competitor rates, local events, and market demand indicators for the coming weeks. What's available depends on your hotel's setup and connected sources.
2. Auro identifies dates requiring attention
Not every date needs a decision. Auro filters to the dates where your current price no longer fits the demand picture — pace running ahead or behind, a compset move, an event you may have missed.
3. Auro creates a pricing recommendation
For each flagged date and room type, Auro produces a suggested price. The suggestion is a starting point for your review, not an instruction.
4. Auro presents evidence and confidence
Every recommendation includes the reasoning: the signals that drove it, and how confident Auro is in that reading. If the picture is thin, Auro says so.
5. The hotelier reviews, adjusts or accepts
You accept the price, edit it, or dismiss it. The decision is always yours. When a PMS is connected and auto-push is configured for defined ranges, approved prices flow through automatically.
6. Auro continues monitoring changes
As bookings arrive, competitor rates move and event data updates, Auro keeps monitoring the same dates and surfaces new recommendations only when the picture materially changes.
What determines the quality of a recommendation
Auro will always tell you when a recommendation is based on limited signal.
- Depth of booking history available to Auro.
- Whether a PMS is connected or data is imported manually.
- Availability of local event data for the destination.
- How stable your comp set is.
What Auro does not automate
Auro does not silently publish every price for every date. Auto-push has to be configured explicitly, and is scoped to price ranges you approve. Outside those ranges, Auro asks first.
Frequently asked questions
- Does Auro change prices in my PMS automatically?
- Only for the price ranges and dates you configure for auto-push. Everything else waits for your approval before it moves.
- How often does Auro re-run?
- Auro re-analyses daily, and re-checks dates when bookings arrive or competitor rates move materially.
- What if I don't agree with a recommendation?
- Override it. Auro's recommendations are decision support — the hotelier keeps the final call, and your override becomes part of the history.
